The intervention of the Polis Gondomar program aimed to the rehabilitation and enhancement of the river Douro range, ensuring a continuous connection on the riverside, by creating a promenade and a bicycle path alongside the natural landscapes.  The intervention area included the coastal territory, delimited along the EN 108 - usually called Marginal de Gondomar - and the Douro River , with limits between Freixo (Porto) and Areio de Atães, also considering the water flowing main lines of into the intervention perimeter. Focused on the conservation and enhancement of the territory’s potential, creating conditions for sustainable development.
