The work of Almeida Municipal Swimming Pools included the construction of two heated indoor pools also featuring 2 tennis courts with 23.76m x 10.90m, two shower rooms for adults, children and people with disabilities, with their respective showers and toilets, 8 changing rooms, 4 male and 4 female, a secretary, an administrative office for meetings, a first aid station, a guard and sound room as well as a storage room.

It stands out the central area of the roof, consisting of a wooden frame and laminated sandwiche plates, as well as the treatment of swimming pool water through an ultra violet system.
