The MRG focus on energy began in 2011 with Coimbra’s Public Lighting Project preparation. This project integrates the planning and replacement of the entire City Park illumination (40,000) for more efficient technology, financing and subsequent management.

Winners of the contest - "Efficient Public Lighting System in the city of Coimbra" - pioneering competition in Europe, combining private investment and the replace of all fixtures for efficient and intelligent technology with the concession of public lighting system and respective energy savings.
