The Work of Montemor- o-Velho Municipal Swimming Pools is designed to work as a complement to educational, physical and cultural development of the county’s population, and also adapted pools for the practice of competition, learning, adaptation to the aquatic environment and for leisure.

The main pool has 25x12,50m, being equipped with six lanes with removable starting blocks at the top of greater depth and a children's pool with the dimensions of 12,50x8m. Both pools work with a system of Finnish boilers at the side edges and around the perimeter.
