Long-term Care Clinic
For the execution of Coimbra’s Long-term Care Clinic was the need to partial adaptation of the CTT building existing footprint to the services feature provided there.The total area covered was approximately 8.000m2, being necessary the demolition of 800m2 of existing reinforced concrete slabs in order to ensure the opening for natural light through halls, having reinforced slabs with the surrounding metal structure. The procedure also included the implementation of metal stairs to link the floors and elevators boxes.
The new building is now a 200 beds Health Unit completely functional and an adaptation that guarantee continuous care services, physical medicine and rehabilitation, as well as palliative and pain care, existing for this purpose a pool of 30 boxes of rehabilitation.
