History and Tour The MRG, SA was founded on 1978
Its founder, Manuel Rodrigues Gouveia, maintained the company's management until 1991 and has since been occupied by his son, Mr. Fernando Gouveia.
At the beginning of its activity, the MRG, SA was devoted to property development and provision of construction services to Local Authorities, State Departments and individuals. At that time, its geographic influence was limited to the district of Guarda.
Since 1989, the company clearly changed his business focus to Construction and Public Works, and its main customers the Ministries of Education, Health and Justice.. Simultaneously, there was a great effort at the business of Real Estate, promoted by Housing Development Contracts (CHR), through agreements with the National Housing Institute (INH).
With the structural growth of MRG, it was necessary to move the company to Public Limited Company. In 1998 transition was made, with the creation of Board of Directors who jointly oversees the activities of the all Organization.
In 2000, a new business area was created, which includes: construction of roads, infrastructure and environment. The area of operation of the company is extended, spreading throughout the national territory.
As a result of his growth, the company discarded the SME (Small and Medium Enterprise) definition in 2002, being considered one of the benchmark companies at national level in various business areas in which it operates.
